The Pneumax 228.52.10.1 valve shares many features with the 228.52.10 model, including:

• Heavy-duty aluminium construction for durability
• 2-position operation for controlling air flow.
• 1/8" BSP port size for standard pneumatic tubing connections.
• No guard for easier pedal access.

However, the 228.52.10.1 version incorporates a spring-loaded mechanism. This means that it maintains air flow: 
Unlike the non-spring model, where pressing the pedal redirects air flow and releasing it stops the flow, this version requires holding the pedal down to maintain air flow. Releasing the pedal will engage the spring, returning the valve to its original position and stopping the air flow.
